As part of this journey, they are looking for an Accounts Executive to join their team in Leeds and play a vital role in helping their clients grow and succeed.
The Accounts Executive will be joining a knowledgeable, energetic, and agile team that works closely with clients to manage day-to-day needs and deliver on long-term strategies and goals. Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum
About the role:
As an Accounts Executive, you will work on a varied portfolio of clients, supporting managers with general accountancy and taxation duties. Your work will cover bookkeeping services, preparation of accounts, and tax computations. You will be an essential part of the accounts team, ensuring compliance services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including timetables, expectations, cost management, and invoicing
- Preparing year-end and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies (including those under FRS102, 1A, and 105)
- Providing bookkeeping and preparing VAT Returns
- Assisting with corporation and personal tax computations
- Promoting and implementing cloud-based technology solutions for clients
- Researching and resolving technical accounting issues
- Assisting with company secretarial filings at Companies House
About you:
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
- Ideally AAT qualified and working towards ACCA or ACA
- Strong presence and ability to build trust with colleagues and clients
- Proficient in Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and Companies Law
- Experience with owner-managed businesses
- Up-to-date technical knowledge in accounting and tax compliance
- Driven and resilient, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
