Starting salary £28,426 pro rata (£17,286 pa) with progression to £30,324 pro rata (£18,440 pa) through annual increments subject to satisfactory service.

In Welwyn Hatfield we have several sheltered housing schemes allowing residents to live independently. We are looking for Officers to manage these schemes and provide support and help tailored to each resident’s needs. Working on one of our sheltered housing schemes, your duties will include:
- Visiting tenants
- Accessing help
- Producing support plans to enable them to achieve their goals
- Liaising with support services
- Facilitating social activities
- Ensuring access to services is exactly as it should be
This is a varied and customer-facing role, so you will need a can-do attitude and be confident to work independently.

- A sensitive, supportive and caring approach to the needs of elderly and/or vulnerable people
- Experience of carrying out assessments and identifying and managing needs and risks
- The ability to work on your own initiative and make decisions
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
About you:
You will put residents at the heart of everything you do. You will care about what you do and the impact you have. You will treat everyone with fairness, dignity, kindness, and respect. You are able to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice. Experience and knowledge of sheltered housing or a care environment would be an advantage.
You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
