Are you passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives and helping individuals and families secure safe, stable housing? We are looking for a number of compassionate, resilient and proactive Homeless Prevention Officers to join our Customer Engagement service. In this role, you will provide practical advice, support and guidance to people at risk of homelessness, working with partners to prevent crisis, promote independence and help customers achieve positive and sustainable housing outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, aiming to prevent them from losing their homes.
  • Assess needs, offer advice on housing options and liaise with landlords and other stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and access on financial assistance and support services.
  • Ensure, where possible, stable accommodation and address any underlying issues that may contribute to housing instability.
