Overview
Accommodation Officer - Fixed Term Contract (12 months).
Salary £32,597 p. a., 37 hours per week.
Responsible for supporting households placed in temporary accommodation and helping them move to settled housing.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with tenants to sustain their accommodation and support them in moving to settled housing.
- Manage a portfolio of temporary accommodation properties, ensuring tenants receive appropriate support.
- Complete sign ups, carry out inspections, ensure rent is paid and tenancy agreements are adhered to.
- Communicate with landlords and partner agencies (Police, Probation, Drug and Alcohol Services, Social Services) to find positive outcomes for tenants.
- Provide high quality support and assistance, dealing tactfully and sympathetically with tenants in often stressful circumstances.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluency in English (as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience working with people with complex needs, addictions, health issues or anti social behaviour is an asset.
