About the role
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of officers who support tenants in extra care and sheltered accommodation to live independently and confidently within Woking.
- Develop and manage team performance, ensuring effective service delivery and professional growth.
- Coordinate with next of kin, on‑site care agencies, health practitioners, activity providers, volunteers, and other external representatives to support tenants.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of telecare equipment and provide tenancy sustainment support to borough tenants.
- Build strong partnerships with agencies, voluntary organisations, community and faith groups to deliver a holistic service to residents.
- Maintain accurate records and keep all relevant parties informed of resident progress and support plans.

Qualifications:
- Strong IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Shortlisting Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an extra care, independent living, care home, or sheltered accommodation environment.
- Knowledge of roles and responsibilities of other agencies.
- Experience supervising staff and volunteers.
- Experience working in a multi‑disciplined environment.
Requirements:
- Documentary evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.
- References from the two most recent employers covering at least 3 years.
- Completion of a medical questionnaire and declaration.
- A full driver’s licence.
- Successful enhanced DBS check.
- Degree or NVQ level 3/4, or willingness to undertake this qualification.
