What you will do:

  • Independently chair Looked After Child Reviews, ensuring all statutory requirements and timescales are met
  • Develop and scrutinise care plans, addressing permanency, stability, education, health, and emotional wellbeing
  • Monitor progress and accountability, ensuring agreed actions are implemented effectively
  • Provide independent challenge to social workers and managers where practice improvements are required
  • Escalate concerns appropriately, using the IRO dispute resolution process when necessary
