Post: Social Worker - Alcohol Housing Support Team
Salary: Grade 5 salary scale (5.11 starting point): £27,241 - £31,325 per annum, plus annual £3,000 social worker allowance (pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Status: Permanent (Current funding secured until March 2027)

About the service:
The Alcohol Housing Support Team, funded by the Public Health Agency, uses an assertive outreach approach to work with individuals who have experience of using alcohol hazardously/dependently and who are at risk of tenancy breakdown, often alongside other health issues and complexities. Assessment of need, support planning, safeguarding, risk management, review of interventions, effective case load management and a rights-based and trauma-informed practice approach are key elements of the Social Worker role.
The small team use harm reduction principles to shape interventions tailored to each individual's priorities and goals including Motivational Interviewing, the Cycle of Change and opportunity led work.
