Lead a progressive multi-disciplinary Housing Development Team in providing the development of new homes for the local authority, transforming Bristol\’s housing.

The council is undertaking its largest affordable housing drive in decades, delivering over 3,000 new council homes in the next 5 years, in addition to developments through our partners and Goram Homes.

What will I be doing?

Leading a housing development team to support the delivery of the Council\’s New Build Housing Programme. Responsibilities include managing site delivery from feasibility to handover, producing progress reports, commissioning project work, developing policies, planning community consultations, and maintaining relationships with partners such as the Council\’s departments, Homes West, Housing Organisations, Homes England, and community organizations. Reporting to senior management and policy committees will also be part of your role.

What do I need to have?

A passion for housing development and construction, with experience in project delivery and team leadership. Ideally, you possess relevant professional qualifications, experience in housing development, construction, acquisition, and managing multi-million-pound projects. Skills include maintaining project documentation, managing budgets and risk logs, and working with external specialists. Experience in leading a team of technical and non-technical staff is also required.
