Independent Living Support Worker (Children's Services Supported Accommodation) Permanent contract, part‑time 18.5 hours per week, Great Yarmouth; salary £26,824 to £28,142 per annum pro ratio, plus weekend / bank holiday enhancements and sleep‑in payments. Grade E.

Our Supported Accommodation service works to create and promote a positive environment for each young person in the independent living scheme.

Responsibilities

In this role you will support young people, helping them to develop positive and effective independent living skills. You will contribute to making plans to support them and assist with their implementation, attending statutory reviews as required. As a positive role model, you will be excellent at forming effective relationships with young people and their families to ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met and opportunities for their development are maximised. Attendance will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and 'sleep‑ins' as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience of support work; ability to communicate clearly and engage with young people. Organisational skills to plan and prioritise your workload effectively, and an eagerness to learn to develop new skills and learning. Attainment of a Level 3 Children’s Workforce Diploma is required; this is fully funded. We cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
