This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team within the Inclusion Drug & Alcohol Service, working specifically with individuals experiencing homelessness.
Main Duties of the Job:
- Provide mental health assessments, risk assessments, and care planning for people with complex needs.
- Work proactively with individuals who may be non‑engaging, transient or have experienced trauma.
- Deliver evidence based interventions, including harm reduction advice and relapse prevention support.
- Collaborate with substance misuse workers, social care, homeless outreach teams, and health partners.
- Support individuals to access physical health care, safeguarding support, housing, and wider community services.
- Contribute to the development of trauma‑informed, psychologically safe pathways for people experiencing homelessness.
- Maintain clinical records, care plans, and documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
Job Responsibilities:

- Understands the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness.
- Uses trauma informed, person centred approaches.
- Works well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Builds trusting relationships and engages people creatively.

Experience Requirement:
- Experience of working in homelessness / drug and alcohol services.
- Experience and knowledge of co‑occurring conditions.
Qualifications:
- Mental Health Nurse registration.
