The Vacancy
Provide a responsive and flexible repairs and maintenance service to MHA tenants and leaseholders.
- Diagnose and remedy disrepair (particularly damp and mould) via inspections ensuring a high quality service based on relevant housing management regulations and service standards
- Effectively delivery (and/or support the delivery of) minor/medium value works projects including diagnosis, specification writing, ensuring value for money and effective contractor management resulting from reactive repairs, ad-hoc major works, voids, planned maintenance and improvements.
- Provide technical advice, support and guidance to MHA's in house Building Services Team and to Housing and Communities colleagues
- Manage the void process to include pre-void and void inspections and specification writing using SOR's to ascertain and cost works required.
- To deal with alteration requests, boundary disputes and party wall issues
- Provide out of hours cover as Duty Officer on a rota basis to support our emergency responsive repairservice.
