We are seeking a strategic and client-focused professional to assess business needs, manage insurer relationships, structure and price bespoke insurance solutions, and drive placement strategies across Insurance markets, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and maintaining expert use of broking systems. A percentage of the role will involve broking Social Housing risks (Housing Associations). This will involve all aspects of their cover requirements. You will liaise with the Social Housing team and work with them on broking costed tender submissions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of insurance markets, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to deliver tailored client solutions in a fast-paced, global environment.

The Role

  • Understand a client's or prospect's business, situation, opportunities, problems, and key issues.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate placements with the insurance market.
  • Work with Account Executives and the sales team to determine appropriate solutions and to structure and price deals.
  • Identify appropriate markets and determine the placement strategy.
  • Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international markets.
  • Demonstrate experience in pricing and designing conceptual programmes.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure strong relationships and effective communication with other Willis Towers Watson colleagues.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding and act as an expert real-time user of all relevant systems, including the Broking Platform.

Qualifications

  • Experienced knowledge of insurance markets globally in order to deal effectively with client and Willis' needs.
  • A proven track record in Insurance Broking or Underwriting is essential.
  • Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent technical & presentation abilities.
  • Able to prioritize, manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to clients/client servicing teams.
  • Must be able to forge links between broking and client servicing teams.
  • Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues and underwriters.
  • Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, complying at all times with FCA requirements.
  • Preferably educated to a degree level.
  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification.
