About the Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced housing professional who wants to make a real impact. You will have the chance to help shape the way the service operates, put your own stamp on day-to-day practices, and contribute to the development of a responsive, resident-focused housing management offer.

As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a comprehensive housing management service for our general needs properties and act as a key point of contact for tenants. The role is varied and rewarding, covering the full range of neighbourhood housing functions, including:

  • Allocations, sign‑ups and new tenancy set‑up
  • Tenancy and estate management
  • Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) case management
  • Managing and minimising voids
  • Supporting tenancy sustainment and early intervention
  • Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners

Qualifications

  • Has experience in general needs housing management within a council or housing association setting
  • Is confident managing a varied caseload across different housing functions
  • Takes a practical, solutions‑focused approach and enjoys working closely with residents
  • Is keen to contribute ideas, improve services and help develop a growing team
  • Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
