We're thrilled to offer this fantastic opportunity for an Independent Living Officer here at Bromford Flagship Livewest, supporting our tenants in and around Ipswich. Location: Ipswich and surrounding areas
Hours: 16 hpw
Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £28551.56 FTE per annum (Actual £7137.74)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers within the scheme
- Welcoming new residents and helping them settle in
- Providing advice and guidance on housing, tenancies, and available services
- Identifying safeguarding concerns, health & safety risks, and reporting issues appropriately
- Supporting residents’ wellbeing by signposting to relevant agencies and services
- Maintaining accurate customer records and sharing information where needed
- Promoting tenant engagement and encouraging resident participation
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the scheme
What You'll Bring:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and record-keeping ability
- Knowledge of issues affecting older people and how to access support
- Ability to prioritise workload, problem-solve, and work independently
- Experience within a sheltered housing or similar environment
- Basic understanding of housing services
- GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
