The Vacancy
At Amplius, we\’re on a mission to deliver homes that make a difference. As a fresh and forward-focused social housing provider, we prioritise tenant safety, sustainability, and smart property investment.
In our Independent Living Advisor role, you\’ll be providing advice, information and support to Amplius Customers including their families and carers who may require assistance to enable them to live safe and well within their homes. This includes completing an assessment, identifying, recommending, and arranging for the installation of minor adaptations and signposting to other services.
Location: \”Hybrid – Midlands / East of England with travel across our geography as required\”
Salary: Up to £32,465.67 per year
Contract: Permanent
Your week: 36.25 hours per week 8.55am – 5.10pm Monday to Friday, with 1-hour lunch
Snapshot of your role
This is what your day will look like as our Independent Living Advisor:
- Visiting customers in their homes to complete a person-centred assessment, helping to identify adaptations that reduce or prevent risk to enhance independent living.
- Advising customers of the financial help available including internal funding, grants, welfare benefits, charity funding, etc.
- Working alongside Local Authorities and health groups to effectively signpost our customers where appropriate.
- Discussing risks factors affecting health and wellbeing and work closely with local social services to promote and support wider Health and Wellbeing needs.
Your toolkit for success
To thrive in our Independent Living Advisor role, you\’ll need:
- Willingness to complete a Trusted Assessor Level 3 online course.
- Experience of completing person-centred assessments and offering advice and support to customers.
- Being highly organised and efficient with the ability to adapt to work demands, dealing with sometimes stressful situations and make appropriate decisions using own initiative.
- Be able to demonstrate a positive \’can do\’ attitude while adopting a people-focused, friendly, and approachable manner with a strong sense of commitment.
Please note that having a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role to visit our customers.
