Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Do you have experience in the housing, homelessness or support sector or do you have the personality and skills to support someone in their time of need? Are you looking for a role that is challenging but offers lots of job satisfaction? As our Homelessness Prevention Support Officer, you will assist staff in the delivery of the housing options and advice service, developing support plans for each client’s individually assessed support needs. You will provide tenancy support for clients in temporary and move on accommodation and will liaise with external agencies, client’s families and carers as required.
What will you bring? This is a very challenging role that requires someone who is resilient, has empathy and patience to deal with clients with complex support needs. You will also have:
- Experience in good customer focus and building good relationships
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to empower and enable clients to make informed choices
- Be able to work under pressure and manage your time effectively
- The desire to learn

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in housing, homelessness, or the support sector, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
