We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation based in CM14.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality housing management services and improving the lives of residents.

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated patch of properties, building positive relationships with residents, and ensuring estates are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with housing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential properties and provide an excellent housing management service.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and act as their first point of contact.
  • Investigate and resolve tenancy-related issues, including anti-social behaviour (ASB), complaints, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Carry out regular estate inspections and ensure communal areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Work closely with repairs, maintenance teams, contractors, and managing agents to resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor repairs and maintenance performance to ensure excellent customer service. Support residents by providing advice and guidance on tenancy matters.
  • Manage service charges and communicate effectively with residents regarding housing services.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and maintain up-to-date case management systems.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to improve resident satisfaction.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer, or in a similar housing management role.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, ASB, safeguarding, and housing legislation.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing a housing patch and working with diverse communities.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work independently.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
