An exciting opportunity for career development has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Hamilton Housing Team within Housing Services. As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of housing services to our customers. You should have similar experience working within a housing related environment and an understanding of current issues and legislation in relation to homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and dealing with anti‑social behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide range of housing services including managing homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and addressing anti‑social behaviour.
- Provide expert advice on relevant legislation and best practice.
- Use IT skills to organise and prioritise workloads effectively, responding and adapting to changing priorities.
- Liaise effectively with a variety of agencies and communicate clearly with customers.

- Proven experience within a housing related role.
- Knowledge of legislation and current housing issues.
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to organise and prioritise work.
