Lecturer - Independent Living Skills

Job description

25.5 hours per week

Fixed Term - 09/07/27

The School of Care is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the ILS team.

Applicants must hold a degree or relevant professional qualification and have experience of teaching on a range of Independent Living Skills courses. You should also hold a teaching qualification, or be prepared to obtain one within a specified time scale.

Skills in teamwork, motivating and inspiring students, developing a learner focussed curriculum and the ability to continually improve the learning experience will be essential.

The ability to use the Welsh language at a basic level (or willingness to undertake training) is desirable.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.

Requirements & Compliance

  • Safeguarding: Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration (costs covered by the candidate).
  • Qualifications: Lecturers must hold or be willing to achieve a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) within a set period.
