Halton Supported Housing Network operates 19 houses across Runcorn and Widnes, focusing on enabling people to live in their own homes and engage in meaningful opportunities within their local community. The service promotes people with a disability to lead their own lives, supported by dedicated staff.

The post(s) are for committed individuals to act as Support Worker, promoting independence and engagement in daily living.

Hours: 6 hours x 3 positions, 15 hours, 16 hours and 19.5 hours. Casual shifts are available on an as-and-when basis via the Casual Support Worker role advertised on the Candidate Portal. This is casual work through Connect2Halton.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individuals to live independently in their community
  • Administer, record and store medication according to policy
  • Ensure all persons are safeguarded and supported according to their individual support plans
  • Complete all relevant documentation clearly and concisely
  • Be open, honest and transparent at all times

The ability to drive and be flexible at all times is desirable.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NVQ qualifications in Adult Social Care and experience in working with physical disabilities (desired, not essential)
  • Ability to undertake personal care (essential for the role)
  • This is a lone working post; comfortable working on this basis
  • This role may involve a rota that includes weekends, bank holidays and some sleep-in duties; enhancements apply for unsociable hours
