We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Neighbourhood and Estates Team as a Neighbourhood Manager. This is a role for someone who genuinely cares about where people live - leading a frontline team to deliver outstanding housing and tenancy management services that make a real difference to our customers and communities every day. We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer‑centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero‑carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Requirements Outline of key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Neighbourhood Services team to deliver an outstanding housing service, encompassing effective tenancy and estate management, grounds maintenance, health and safety, and all other relevant service areas.
  • Create a positive, motivating environment by providing clear direction, guidance, and support to your team - ensuring the consistent delivery of a high-quality, customer‑focused service in line with our service offer, standards, and all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by managing team performance, producing accurate performance data, and ensuring success measures and targets are met.
  • Regularly review both team and individual performance, setting clear objectives and targets that align with our wider strategic and operational goals.
  • Embrace customer feedback and lessons learned to continuously evolve and improve services, using training and development opportunities to support and grow your team in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Tenancy Enforcement Manager to manage and monitor the handling of Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) in line with our service standards and commitments, providing advice and guidance to direct reports on ASB, tenancy breaches, and other tenancy management issues.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Experience of managing neighbourhoods and estates.
  • Awareness of relevant and up to date policy, procedure and regulation for the service areas within the role.
  • Experience of contract management.
  • An understanding of how a customer's experience of all aspects of the housing and estate services informs their overall view of the landlord.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of working in partnership and collaborating across the business.
  • Good level of knowledge of Social Housing and Tenancy Law and including experience of dealing with Tenancy Enforcement, Anti‑Social Behaviour and case management.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

In return, we are offering an annual salary of £43,818.38 plus a car allowance of £1,545 per annum. We are committed to providing a healthy work-life balance for employees and their families, as such we operate hybrid working conditions from home and our office in Bury St Edmunds. Flexible working around a 37 hour week. Annual Leave - 28 days per year, (plus bank holidays) increasing to 32 days when you reach your 3rd year with us. To give greater flexibility around your holidays you can also buy, sell or carry over up to 5 days of annual leave each year. Pension - between 7% - 12% dependant on individual contribution.
