Housing Strategy and Customer Relations Apprentice

Assist in the delivery of housing services to customers in a busy and varied housing team.

You will deal with a wide range of matters to support the Housing Services Strategy and Partnerships team, such as helping to run the homeless forum and consultation events and providing administrative support such as minute taking and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Customer Relations Officer to investigate and draft responses to complaints, member enquiries, Freedom of Information requests and Ombudsman enquiries received by Housing Services.
  • Manage and monitor ongoing learning from complaints and enquiries.
  • Assist with the administration of any complaints referred to the Landlord Services Designated Persons Panel, including preparation of reports and papers for board meetings.
  • Answer telephone and e‑mail enquiries.
  • Provide administrative support such as minute taking and data collection.

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two‑year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme.

This apprenticeship involves approximately 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship.

A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
