Community Safety Officer – Your new role
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Community Safety Officer to join our friendly team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting time to join us as we recently transitioned into a regional model so we can focus on our local presence to ensure our neighbourhoods are safe places where people want to live.
We're proud to say our customers are at the heart of all we do, and their safety and welfare is our number one priority and that's where you come in.
You’ll be working on a challenging and varied case load. No two days in this post will be the same as you’ll respond to a range of issues which include tackling anti‑social behaviour, supporting victims of domestic abuse and progressing legal matters through the court process.
You’ll also need to proactively build relationships with colleagues across internal teams and external agencies, attending multi‑agency meetings as required. You’ll need to undertake regular visits to customers in their homes and the wider neighbourhoods for which appropriate mileage will be paid.
We are looking for great team players with knowledge and experience of the various tools and powers available to us to prevent and tackle anti‑social behaviour, and excellent communication skills to manage complex safeguarding cases and support victims of domestic abuse.
If this is the challenge you’ve been looking for and you want to make a huge, positive difference in the lives of our customers, we’d love to hear from you!
For this position you will need access to your own transport so a full UK driving licence is essential.
We have an agile working approach with an expectation colleagues work together at an office 2 days per week, with flexibility for community‑based roles.
