About the role
Loconomy is seeking a senior housing and regeneration professional to lead independent advice for residents in Druids Heath during a major housing regeneration programme. This specialist role focuses on providing authoritative independent advice, designing and delivering resident training and briefing sessions, and supporting informed, resident‑led engagement in regeneration decisions. The postholder will operate as a trusted intermediary between residents and institutional partners, helping residents understand proposals, navigate change and engage confidently in decisions affecting their homes and community. The role is structurally independent of the Council and its appointed developers, housing providers and other stakeholders while working constructively with all parties.
Collaboration:
You will work closely alongside two senior Loconomy associates for housing policy and community engagement ensuring that frontline advice, policy assurance and engagement activity are joined‑up, accurate and credible. The role is not a five‑day‑a‑week presence post. Time will be balanced between scheduled advice surgeries, workshops and briefings, preparation, follow‑up advice and professional stakeholder engagement.
About you
You will bring significant experience in housing, regeneration, planning or a related field, a CIH qualification or equivalent, and a strong track record of providing independent advice in complex or sensitive contexts. You will be confident designing and delivering training or briefings for non‑specialist audiences, and comfortable working with both residents and senior institutional stakeholders.
Why join Loconomy
You will join a values and vision‑driven organisation with a strong reputation for credible, independent, community‑centred work, and play a pivotal role in ensuring residents can meaningfully shape the future of their neighbourhood.
