You'll help plan and oversee the day-to-day operation of the museum, ensuring it is safe, well run and financially sustainable, while supporting the delivery of community-focused programmes and events.
Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and partners, you'll help grow visitor and community engagement, support commercial performance, and ensure activity is delivered to a consistently high standard. A bit about you
You'll bring experience of managing a public-facing venue or service, with a strong focus on delivering positive visitor experiences and effective day-to-day operations. You'll enjoy working with communities, supporting programmes and events, and building strong relationships with volunteers, partners and stakeholders. Commercially aware, you'll be comfortable managing budgets, contributing to income generation, and planning activity across a site. You're an organized and supportive leader, able to plan ahead, manage teams and operations, work collaboratively across departments, and use insight to inform improvements. An understanding of how heritage, place‑based stories and lived experience can create positive social impact is important, and experience in museums, heritage, tourism or a similar environment would be an advantage.
