Position: Credit Controller and Recoveries This role manages the company’s credit control processes to ensure timely collection of debts and minimize financial risk. Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, monitoring accounts, and implementing recovery procedures. It is a fast-paced, high-pressure role during collection efforts. Key Responsibilities: Managing Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments. Review and reconcile customer accounts to resolve discrepancies. Collections: Follow up with clients on overdue invoices via calls, emails, and letters. Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers. Document and report collection activities and trends. Member/Provider Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate communication and collections. Address inquiries and concerns regarding accounts or payment terms. Credit Risk Assessment: Assess terms based on financial analysis and risk evaluation. Reporting: Prepare reports on aging balances, collection statistics, and recovery progress. Offer insights and recommendations on credit policies. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations regarding debt collection. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in credit control and recovery. Requirements: Proven experience in credit control, debt recovery, or accounts receivable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel). Ability to work independently and in teams. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Experience with CRM systems.
