With our continuing global expansion, CIGNA European Global Segments has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and driven Tender Manager to join our Tender Delivery Office. You’ll have a flexible attitude and be used to working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects, and able to plan your time effectively to meet challenging deadlines.
Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing the tender process from start to end including accurate and timely completion of pre-qualifications, tendering and commercial proposals and processes for a wide range of current and potential clients. Working alongside key business stakeholders, including Sales Managers, Client Managers, Executive Sponsors and other key contributors & experts, you will be tasked with providing tender management, motivation and inspiration to the team at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work closely with Business Development to identify opportunities, building a pipeline of new & win back business.
- Undertake an analysis of Client & Tender requirements ensuring that tender scope & objectives are clearly documented for all tenders incl. win themes, strategies and anticipated outcomes ensuring key business stakeholders are aligned.
- Creation and management of Tender Delivery Plans; ensuring that approach is clear and all key deliverables, milestones & timelines have been identified and planned.
- Overall responsibility for mobilising Tender teams; leading, managing and motivating a cross-functional project team to deliver a quality tender response.
- Management of relevant stages of the Tender lifecycle including intake, storyboarding, production, delivery and post tender review; Tracking progress against milestones, managing or escalating issues as appropriate.
- Facilitate communication across all business stakeholders, and third parties to ensure complete transparency of tender status and delivery plans.
- Logistics management for all internal & external meetings/workshops incl pre-bid planning / delivery and pitch presentations.
- Manage sign off processes with key business stakeholders (Sales, Client Management Marketing, Proposition, Underwriting) prior to tender submission.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure submissions are made on time and to the required quality.
- Undertake lessons learned identify key learning opportunities and drive evolution of Tender Management best practices.
- Implementation of risk management framework including risk identification and mitigation planning throughout the tender process.
- Produce new content, ensuring our existing content always meets client needs and the requirements of the tender and reflects the most recent EGS strategy.
- Provide detailed briefing and handover documentation on successful bids to operational mobilization teams to ensure a seamless transfer from tender to operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
