In this role you will have an exciting opportunity to become a summer intern you will be part of the European Accounting team based in Glasgow. You will bring analytical capabilities to the team by optimizing current processes and developing solutions to support the decision-making process. This will require gaining an understanding of both international and domestic businesses. You will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects in different departments of the Cigna business which will enhance your overall skill set.
Main Duties / Responsibilities- Accounting and tax processes - optimization & efficiencies
- Work on individual and collaborative projects
- Risk appetite on Underwriting & Actuarial
- Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse and propose enhancements (at department and organization level)
- Manage specific underwriting requests in terms of data (drill-down)
Report to Finance/ Tax Manager. Includes a knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the business. Requires co-ordination and integration with every department including:
- Actuarial
- Underwriting
- Reporting
- Systems
- Legal services
- Operational teams
- Must be studying a degree which is relatable to Accountancy, or Finance
- Vital that you are currently in 3rd year of your academic studies to be eligible for our summer paid internships which commence in June 2025
