We are currently looking for a positive and motivated manager to lead our Data Integrity team. In this role, you'll set clear goals, keep performance moving in the right direction, and foster a culture of accountability so our outputs remain accurate and delivered on time. You'll oversee our data integrity processes, ensuring Cifas databases are maintained to a high standard while managing consumer enquiries, complaints and DSARs promptly and in full compliance with legal and organisational requirements. By making the best use of resources and balancing workloads effectively, you'll help ensure we meet our service levels and deliver confidently against our compliance risk framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing, supervising and motivating the Data Integrity team, providing regular feedback, coaching and support to drive high performance.
  • Owning SLAs by setting, reviewing and delivering against them, monitoring performance metrics and MI, and reporting trends to senior leadership.
  • Ensuring all complaints and DSARs are handled promptly, consistently, accurately and within legislative timeframes.
  • Optimising team resources by planning and balancing workloads to meet service levels and align priorities with the compliance risk framework, including proactive compliance work.
  • Serving as the main escalation point for complex queries or issues, resolving or escalating as needed.
  • Identifying, recommending and documenting process improvements, working with colleagues to implement changes that enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Supporting the investigation and management of data breaches, following agreed procedures, collaborating with relevant teams, and embedding lessons learned into future improvements.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring clear communication and delivery against agreed standards.
  • Leading the development and delivery of training and guidance on data integrity, compliance and best practice, maintaining a structured programme and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Deputising for the Director of Compliance and Head of Operational Compliance, attending meetings as required and providing updates on progress and challenges.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ideally, an A level education or equivalent and/or relevant previous work experience.
  • Strong people-leadership and performance-management experience, able to motivate, develop and hold teams to high standards while driving continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience working for a Cifas member.
  • Solid understanding of Cifas data, its Handbooks and operational use, along with practical knowledge of fraud prevention, financial crime and data-protection principles.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and improvement-focused, identifying smarter ways of working and embedding meaningful, lasting change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to stay calm under pressure, navigate challenges and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with integrity, empathy and strong awareness of how decisions impact colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Able to collaborate effectively and work confidently in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams.
