Description


We are looking for a collaborative and knowledgeable Data Integrity Support Officer to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in fraud prevention, ideally with Cifas investigation experience.

In this role, you\'ll be the trusted point of contact for consumers, taking ownership of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and ensuring they are handled accurately and in line with Data Protection legislation. You\'ll play a key part in creating a positive consumer experience by providing clear guidance and support through emails, phone calls, and enquiries. Working closely with our Data Integrity team, you\'ll also assist with resolving complaints and liaising with Cifas members to answer their queries quickly and effectively. Key Responsibilities


Working alongside industry specialists, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Being the primary lead in processing consumer Data Subject Access Requests from end-to-end.
  • Having accountability for making appropriate considered decisions on DSARs processed, clearly articulating the rationale for the decision made within agreed service levels.
  • Escalating Consumer Data Subject Access Requests and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Responding to consumer emails, phone calls and queries, providing guidance on processes as required, to ensure a positive consumer experience.
  • Escalating complex consumer enquiries (e.g., legal letters, complaints, or requests for a full DSAR) to Data Integrity colleagues, as appropriate.
  • Responding to member queries. Provide knowledge and guidance to Cifas members on our data processes.
  • Supporting the Data Integrity colleagues with administrative tasks relating to eReviews.
  • Triaging complaints, including engaging members and consumers for evidence.
  • Working in collaboration with Data Integrity colleagues to ensure seamless process in member and consumer engagement which includes identifying and recommending ways of improving efficiency of systems and processes.
  • Identifying patterns within the data and highlighting to relevant parties for swift action.
  • Representing the Operations Team at Cifas projects and product development meetings, providing subject matter expertise when required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An A level education or equivalent and/or relevant previous work experience.
  • Experience of working within a fraud prevention role in a professional organisation, preferable with Cifas investigation experience.
  • Good level of understanding of the use of Cifas data, familiarity with financial crime, fraud prevention and Data Protection legislation.
  • Detailed knowledge of Cifas Handbooks, systems and how members access Cifas data, is essential.
  • Experienced, self-motivated professional, with previous experience processing Data Subject Access requests.
  • Creative and analytical thinking style with investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail, excellent stakeholder management, and the capacity to work across multiple areas simultaneously whilst working collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst working at pace.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A \'can do\' solutions focused approach with the resourcefulness to make things happen.
  • Confident ownership of information and processes.
  • Proven experience in working to agreed service levels and delivering against team targets.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
