Overview
We are looking for a collaborative and knowledgeable Data Integrity Support Officer to join our Operations team at Cifas. The ideal candidate will have experience in fraud prevention, ideally with Cifas investigation experience. This role focuses on Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), data protection compliance, and delivering a positive consumer experience while supporting the Data Integrity team.

Responsibilities & accountabilities
- Be the primary lead in processing consumer Data Subject Access Requests from end-to-end.
- Make appropriate considered decisions on DSARs, articulating the rationale within agreed service levels.
- Escalate DSARs and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Respond to consumer emails, phone calls and queries, providing guidance to ensure a positive consumer experience.
- Escalate complex consumer enquiries (e.g., legal letters, complaints, or full DSAR requests) to Data Integrity colleagues as appropriate.
- Respond to member queries and provide knowledge and guidance on our data processes.
- Support Data Integrity colleagues with administrative tasks related to eReviews.
- Triaging complaints, including engaging members and consumers for evidence.
- Collaborate with Data Integrity colleagues to improve efficiency of systems and processes in member and consumer engagement.
- Identify data patterns and highlight issues to relevant parties for swift action.
- Represent the Operations Team at projects and product development meetings, providing subject matter expertise when required.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- An A level education or equivalent and/or relevant prior work experience.
- Experience in a fraud prevention role within a professional organisation; preferably with Cifas investigation experience.
- Good understanding of the use of Cifas data, familiarity with financial crime, fraud prevention and Data Protection legislation.
- Detailed knowledge of Cifas Handbooks, systems and how members access Cifas data.
- Experience processing Data Subject Access requests with demonstrated ownership and accuracy.
- Creative and analytical thinking with investigative skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to work across multiple areas collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining pace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A can-do, solutions-focused approach with the resourcefulness to get things done.
- Confident ownership of information and processes; proven experience working to service levels and team targets.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
