We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales of new Cifas products, working with existing members as well as driving and attracting new organisations to join our growing community.

OverviewWe are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales of new Cifas products, working with existing members as well as driving and attracting new organisations to join our growing community. You will identify fraud prevention challenges for potential members and demonstrate the value of Cifas membership. Playing an important part in our mission to combat fraud and protect organisations across the UK, you will shape our growth story by connecting with forward-thinking partners, showcasing the value of our membership, and championing innovative fraud prevention solutions. Key Responsibilities
Driving sales and secure new memberships for Cifas across various markets, achieving set revenue targets.
Building expertise in Cifas products and understand how they address fraud prevention needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify new business opportunities and proactively target organisations that would benefit from Cifas membership.
Proactively seeking and engaging with potential members, focusing on specific sectors or targets to grow the membership base.
Supporting the Business Development Team in meeting sales targets, including generating leads for the Learning Business and other product lines.
Representing Cifas at trade shows, expos, and conferences, converting leads into membership opportunities.
Creating and delivering impactful presentations to showcase the benefits of Cifas membership and data sharing.
Providing expert advice and responding to technical queries about Cifas products, guiding potential members on effective use of Cifas databases.
Working alongside Onboarding and Member Experience teams to ensure a positive and professional experience for new members.
Generating accurate sales and revenue forecasts for new members throughout the year.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ideally, an A level education or equivalent and/or relevant previous work experience.
Strong understanding of fraud prevention challenges and solutions, particularly within the UK context and across multiple sectors.
Knowledge of Cifas products and their application to fraud prevention needs.
Proven track record of driving sales and securing new business, ideally in a membership and/or B2B environment.
Experience in building and managing a robust sales pipeline, including accurate revenue forecasting.
Ability to identify, target, and engage potential new members and proactively grow the membership base.
Skilled in upselling and cross-selling solutions to both existing and prospective members.
Confident in representing the organisation at trade shows, expos, and conferences, with the ability to convert leads into opportunities.
Excellent presentation skills, with experience creating and delivering impactful presentations to a range of audiences.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide expert advice and respond to technical queries about products and services.
Experience working collaboratively with internal teams (e.g., Onboarding, Member Experience) to ensure a positive customer journey.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of engagement and progress using CRM systems.
Collaborative, proactive, and able to contribute to wider project work as required.
Passion for fraud prevention and a commitment to making a valuable contribution in this field.
