Having successfully launched an iOS app last year, they are now looking for a talented Senior Android Developer to help build the next phase of the journey. You will be building a brand new Android app from scratch at a time that is pivotal for their next stage of growth and be able to shape the future of an ambitious product which will be used by millions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end development of our Android app from the ground up
- Design and build a scalable mobile application capable of handling millions of users
- Define architecture, tech stack, and engineering best practices
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks for rapid, reliable delivery
- Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate models into the mobile experience
- Work closely with product, backend, iOS, and design teams
Experience
- Strong experience building Android apps from scratch
- Expert-level Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Deep understanding of coroutines, concurrency, and multithreading
- Experience with architecture design and trade-off decisions
- Solid grasp of clean code and scalable API integration (REST, HTTPS)
- A strong university background in computer science (Bachelors/Masters/PHD) from a top tier university is essential
Desirable and nice to haves
- Java or iOS experience
- Background in EdTech or language learning products
