Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to People & Workforce Business Partners to deliver an effective, people-centred service within the Trust.
- Maintain an effective administration function for the People & Workforce Department, including employee relations matters.
- Update HR systems and manage data to produce accurate responses to queries and reports.
- Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist the Operational People & Workforce Team with development and implementation of policies and best practice.
- Support in achieving relevant KPIs and standards of excellence on all people management issues.
- Support the wider delivery of workforce and learning priorities across the Trust, including management of key workforce projects.
- Collate reports for senior managers to maintain effective HR service throughout the Trust.
- Undertake routine investigations, specific tasks and activities in relation to application of HR policies and procedures.
- Update and maintain employee relations cases with timeliness and accuracy.
- Produce, analyse and present monthly KPI reports.
- Review sickness absence data and act appropriately in accordance with KPI requirements.
- Maintain good working relationships with Trade Unions and elected Staff Representatives.
- Deliver and actively contribute to preparation of general and bespoke training across the Trust, including the Trust’s Induction Programme.
- Undertake HR investigations appropriate to grade alongside managers.
- Present reports at routine hearings in conjunction with the Investigation Officer.
- Liaise with Occupational Health and assist managers with Occupational Health referrals.
- Advise on Compassionate, Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave requests.
- Contribute to People, Wellbeing and Transformation agenda including Health and Wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Bullying and Harassment.
- Deal with queries from managers and staff relating to policies, terms and conditions of service.
- Participate in HR meetings and take minutes where required.
- Actively maintain CIPD and professional development.
- Support Trust maintenance of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including representation on Job Matching and Job Evaluation panels.
- Provide line management to junior team members and seek guidance from Senior People & Workforce Advisor when required.
- Undertake any other duties or project work deemed appropriate and commensurate with the role.
