Ciena is seeking a Workforce Insights Consultant to drive evidence‑based workforce decisions through advanced people analytics and strategic advisory. This role partners with HR and business leaders to translate workforce data into actionable insights that influence organisational outcomes. Success is defined by the ability to shape workforce strategy through analysis, judgement, and clear communication.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to guide workforce‑related decisions using data‑driven insights
  • Consult with stakeholders to define business priorities and frame workforce‑related analytical questions
  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, drivers, and opportunities
  • Develop and communicate actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on data analysis
  • Present findings to senior leaders using clear and business‑relevant narratives
  • Conduct scenario analysis and workforce modelling to inform future workforce strategies
  • Collaborate with analytics and data teams to ensure data accuracy and meaningful metric development

The Must Haves

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience applying workforce or people data to inform business, talent, or workforce decisions.
  • Demonstrated application of translating analytical outputs into recommendations, strategic implications, and business actions
  • Experience engaging with senior leaders to influence decision‑making using data‑driven insights
  • Application of problem‑solving approaches in ambiguous environments where problem statements are not fully defined
  • Application of communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management to convey complex information clearly
  • Application of synthesising complex datasets into clear and actionable insights

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting workforce planning, talent strategy, organisational design, or HR transformation initiatives
  • Experience conducting predictive analysis or scenario modelling within workforce analytics
