What will you do at Ciena?

As part of the Global Network Services Team, you will help design, implement, support, and automate secure, high-performance network solutions that power Ciena’s global operations. You\’ll work closely with IT, security, and application teams to enable seamless connectivity and productivity for employees and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Learning and supporting: SD-WAN, multi-cloud connectivity, enterprise routing/switching, Wi-Fi/BLE, and remote access

• Implementing: Solutions from Ciena, VeloCloud, Zscaler, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet; cloud networking across Azure, AWS, OCI

• Supporting: Troubleshooting, on-call rotation, RCA, vendor escalations

• Automating: Network tasks via Terraform, Ansible

• Documenting: Using SharePoint and JIRA

Must-haves

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT network infrastructure

• Strong working knowledge of routing, switching, Wi-Fi, or firewalls

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting network/security technologies

• Experience with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible

• Engineering degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and reliable with strong communication and collaboration skills

• Willingness to participate in a 24×7 on-call support rotation

Assets

• Certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI)

• Exposure to SD-WAN, cloud-based security (Zscaler, cloud firewalls)

• Familiarity with enterprise Wi-Fi/BLE and remote access technologies

• Growth mindset and openness to feedback and continuous learning
