How You Will Contribute:
- Develop embedded software for Ciena's modified Linux-based NOS.
- Participate in all phases of software development: requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Troubleshoot software issues, support customers, and verification processes.
- Design and implement unit tests and test-automation suites.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and System Architects to integrate new features and technologies.
- Influence software architecture to enhance resiliency, debuggability, and maintainability.
The Must Haves:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and programming skills (C, C++, Python).
- Excellent communication and technical documentation abilities.
- Organizational expertise to manage time, resources, and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with Linux development environments.
The Assets:
- Knowledge of network routers/switches or routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
