Job Description
The Head of Revenue Management leads the organisation's strategic pricing, inventory allocation, and revenue optimisation initiatives across all channels and markets. This senior leadership position is responsible for maximising revenue potential and profitability through data-driven decision making, forecasting, and performance analysis. The role combines analytical expertise with commercial acumen to develop pricing strategies that balance market demand, competitive positioning, and financial objectives. This position works collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to optimise the organisation's revenue streams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive revenue management and yield optimisation strategies across all business segments.
- Lead the design of dynamic pricing models that maximise revenue while maintaining competitive market positioning.
- Direct inventory allocation and capacity management to optimize utilisation and profitability.
- Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting models to predict demand patterns and market trends.
- Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks to monitor revenue performance.
- Analyse pricing elasticity, customer segmentation, and buying behaviours to identify revenue opportunities.
- Lead the evaluation of new revenue streams and products to drive growth.
- Oversee competitive intelligence gathering and market analysis to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with Marketing on promotional strategies and campaign effectiveness analysis.
- Partner with Commercial and Operational Leadership on deal structuring, discount governance, and value-based selling approaches.
- Work with IT to develop and enhance revenue management systems and analytical tools.
- Build and develop a high-performing team of revenue management professionals.
- Present revenue performance insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in revenue management, pricing, or yield management roles, in a B2C environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical modelling and data analysis.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
- Experience with revenue management systems and analytical tools.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Proficiency in forecasting methodologies and demand modelling.
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Highly Desirable
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related quantitative field.
- Experience of working for PE-backed organisations.
- Some experience in a leadership position overseeing revenue optimisation strategies.
- Background in consulting with focus on pricing strategy or revenue optimisation.
- Expertise in machine learning and predictive analytics applications for revenue management.
