We’re actively seeking exceptional Plant Leaders with proven experience managing high-output bread, buns, rolls, or baked goods operations (2M+ lbs weekly) —ideally across multiple plant locations or a highly complex manufacturing site.
This is a critical leadership opportunity with a top national food manufacturer known for its iconic brands, robust plant network, and commitment to safety, quality, and people-first culture.
About the Role
As Plant Manager , you’ll have full operational responsibility for up to two (2) of the company’s premier East Coast bakeries, helping deliver millions of pounds of fresh product each week to customers across the region.
You’ll lead across production, maintenance, sanitation, and quality, while also ensuring execution of strategic initiatives and delivering operational excellence across key performance indicators.
This is not a siloed plant role—success in this seat requires cross-functional partnership, business acumen, and the ability to lead at scale for more than one high volume production facilities.

What You\’ll Do
- Oversee all plant operations in two (2) high-throughput baking facilities (total 2M+ lbs/week)
- Drive a culture of zero-injury safety and food quality compliance
- Own P&L, cost controls, labor efficiency, throughput, and product delivery metrics
- Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives (BOF, Lean, ERP+)
- Optimize materials and labor usage while eliminating waste
- Build, mentor, and retain a strong manufacturing leadership team
- Maintain high performance while supporting future scalability and innovation
- Collaborate across engineering, HR, quality, planning, and supply chain
- Act as a culture carrier : hands-on, solution-driven, and focused on results and community friendly
- Uphold a \”figure-it-out-with-them\” leadership style —where service, urgency, and trust are essential
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing multiple plants or large-scale food production facilities
- Demonstrated leadership in bread/bakery manufacturing at scale (1–2M+ lbs per week)
- Strong business and financial acumen—you’ve owned and impacted P&L
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing systems, CI, food safety, and operational KPIs
- Passion for people and performance—team builder, motivator, and culture shaper
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to relocate (relocation provided to said location. (To be shared post signing of a non-disclosure)
