ROLE SUMMARY
Under the leadership of the Global HR Business Partner leader, we are hiring a Senior Manager of EMEA HR to support all functions across EMEA. This role is critical to Velotic’s ability to scale effectively across EMEA. This role is responsible for driving compliant, commercially-aligned people operations across the region; leading complex employee and industrial relations (preferably with deep expertise in French labor law); and partnering with global HR and senior leadership to implement talent and organizational strategies that support Velotic's growth. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable setting strategy and executing it; a senior HR leader who operates with autonomy, brings sound judgment, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic HR Partnership: Oversee and secure management of the full HR agenda for Velotic EMEA countries, in alignment with global HR strategy and priorities. Advise and support CHRO and Velotic leaders on all EMEA people-related topics. Provide effective and constructive employee and industrial relations across EMEA. Secure HR compliance across EMEA (e.g. data protection, H&S, EE consultation, disability inclusion etc.). Implement key global Velotic HR processes for EMEA (e.g. talent management, succession planning etc.). Secure implementation of organisational changes, restructuring initiatives, and growth projects. Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), and subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive aligned, integrated people initiatives across the EMEA region.
- Employment Law, Industrial Relations and Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all EMEA countries. Secure strong advisory expertise for French labor law and SCE handling. Liaise with local Works Councils/social partners, Unions, authorities and—where needed—local legal counsels.
- Employee Relations and Support: Serve as “escalation point” for difficult or problematic employee cases, grievances, dismissals etc. Provide support of senior talent acquisition and recruiting in partnership with Talent Acquisition team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience in the software/IT industry and supporting Sales/Customer Care organisations.
- Experience working in a US-led business and/or startup environment will be very helpful for cultural effectiveness towards Velotic leadership.
- Self-starter but team player, with strong communication skills.
- Solution orientation, pragmatic approach, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong language requirements: Fluent Business English and native French; fluency in any other of Velotic’s key European languages very welcome: Italian, German, Danish, Romanian, Spanish.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
- 12 years experience as an HR Business Partner in an international European environment, across EMEA.
- Solid functional HR experience in industrial relations France.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Hybrid work environment. International travel up to 25% (for individual visits across Europe and international meetings).
