Overview
Cidon Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager with a strong background in reinforced concrete (RC) works to lead operations on a prestigious large-scale project in Sheffield.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage reinforced concrete works across all stages of the project, ensuring quality, programme, and budget requirements are achieved.
- Oversee daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with engineering standards, health & safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor progress against programme, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Liaise closely with the Operations Director, communicate effectively with Section Foremen, and ensure expectations are met across all levels.
- Manage cost control, materials procurement, and resource allocation for RC packages.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Mentor, support, and develop site staff, identifying and nurturing potential talent.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 10 years\’ experience in reinforced concrete works, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale RC projects (high-rise, infrastructure, or complex structures).
- Strong technical knowledge of RC design, formwork, falsework, and construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, with experience liaising with clients, workforce, senior management, and suppliers.
