Supplier Quality Assurance(SQA) Specialist

Want to help build a stronger, smarter and more resilient supply chain?

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist to join our Supply Chain team.

This is a varied, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of Supply Chain and Quality. You will work directly with suppliers and colleagues across Purchasing, Quality and Engineering to improve supplier performance, solve problems, reduce risk and strengthen our supply base.

You do not necessarily need to already be an SQA Specialist. If you have a background in Supply Chain or Quality, enjoy working with suppliers, and are confident analysing data and getting to the root of problems, this could be a great next step.

What you'll be doing

  • Monitoring supplier performance across quality, delivery, risk and compliance
  • Working directly with suppliers to investigate problems and drive corrective actions
  • Managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) through to effective closure
  • Using data and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Supporting supplier audits, assessments and approval activities
  • Helping develop supplier improvement plans and stronger supplier relationships
  • Supporting supply chain risk, resilience and supplier change management
  • Working alongside Purchasing, Quality and Engineering on supplier and product assurance
  • Supporting supplier compliance, sustainability and responsible sourcing requirements

Who are we looking for?

This role could suit someone from either a Supply Chain or Quality background who wants to broaden their experience and develop further.

You'll probably thrive in this role if you:

  • Are naturally inquisitive and enjoy understanding why things happen
  • Have strong critical-thinking and data-analysis skills
  • Can turn data into practical actions and improvements
  • Are confident building positive, productive supplier relationships
  • Are comfortable challenging constructively when something is not right
  • Are a great team player, but equally comfortable working independently and using your own initiative
  • Are organised and capable of following issues through to completion
  • Communicate confidently with people at different levels
  • Have a genuine interest in quality, supplier performance and continuous improvement


Experience of supplier quality, auditing, root-cause analysis, SCARs, manufacturing or regulated environments would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in attitude, potential and transferable experience.
