As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting production test equipment for functional test and leading new product introductions (NPI). This is an exciting opportunity to apply and develop your electronics hardware expertise and PCB / HLA test engineering experience, all while contributing to the success of innovative projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated and manual test procedures for electronic equipment and assemblies.
- Design and commission test fixtures, hardware, and software for in-circuit, functional, and system-level testing.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure testability and manufacturability of products.
- Analyse test data, identify failure trends, and drive corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Support the introduction of new products by creating and validating test solutions in line with customer requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to production test technicians and engineers.
- Maintain documentation for test procedures, equipment, and results.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in developing test solutions for electronic assemblies, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in test software development (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C/C++).
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCB design, and fault-finding techniques.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and fixture design.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, etc.).
- Knowledge of EMC, safety, and regulatory compliance testing.
- Previous experience working with sub-contract manufacturers or in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
