We’re looking for someone with experience in electronic assembly and soldering to IPC Class 3 standards, who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in doing things right the first time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Soldering a variety of products, including SMT and PTH components, wires, and thermal planes using a variety of equipment.
  • Following detailed assembly instructions and build standards.
  • Performing hand cleaning, fitting mechanical fixings, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Completing paperwork for traceability such as batch records, build reports, and logs.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to identify and correct errors ensuring no scrap is created.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing ideas to improve processes.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, including microscopes and soldering irons.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and following ESD requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Working flexibly to help meet weekly production targets.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in soldering of electronic printed circuit boards and currently certified to IPC 610 or J-STD.
  • Knowledge of high critical soldering skills.
  • Skilled in SMT rework, multi-layer/PTH hand soldering, and wire modifications.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of English including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work efficiently ensuring accuracy to a high level of throughput.
  • Professional attitude with strong communication skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
