Senior Operations Manager - FMCG Distribution

On behalf of our client—a rapidly growing FMCG distribution business with operations spanning across Europe—we’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join their leadership team in the Reading area. This is a key opportunity to play a central role in driving operational excellence across warehousing, stock management, customer service, and logistics. The successful candidate will be a proven people leader, process-minded, and highly comfortable with data and technology. The Role: Our client operates in the fast-moving consumer goods space, distributing products to major retailers throughout Europe. As Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the UK-based operations team while managing warehouse and retailer relationships across the continent. Key responsibilities include: Leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing operations team Managing third-party warehousing partners and retail logistics across Europe Owning stock and order management processes to ensure accuracy and fulfilment Delivering regular performance reporting to senior stakeholders Maintaining outstanding customer service levels through structured, proactive operations Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies using technology and data Working closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, finance, and systems Ideal Candidate Profile: We’re looking for someone who brings both strategic oversight and hands-on operational expertise. You’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working across countries, systems, and teams.
