This role is based in Central London and offers hybrid working.

The Junior Account Manager will provide commercial and administrative support to the Account Management team, helping to maintain strong customer relationships and ensure the efficient delivery of product to customers across the UK.

The role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of customer accounts, coordinating with internal departments and suppliers, monitoring product availability and performance, and assisting in delivering commercial objectives.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to progress into a full Account Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Account Support
  • Support the management of key retail and foodservice customer accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining strong customer relationships through professional communication and timely responses.
  • Prepare quotations and customer reports.
  • Monitor customer forecasts and communicate changes to relevant internal teams.
  • Support customer reviews, meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and information.
  • Produce weekly sales reports, analysis and performance updates.
  • Assist in managing promotional activity and pricing changes.
  • Monitor sales performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure commercial documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Supplier & Grower Collaboration
  • Build effective working relationships with growers, suppliers and service providers.
  • Coordinate supply requirements with the supply chain team.
  • Monitor product availability and communicate potential supply issues.
  • Support negotiations where appropriate under the guidance of senior colleagues.
  • Assist in resolving supply or service issues promptly.
  • Liaise with Procurement, Technical, Planning, Operations and Logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Support the resolution of delivery issues, shortages or quality concerns.
  • Commercial Performance
  • Develop an understanding of product costs, margins and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing and competitor activity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels and commercial performance.
  • Support the delivery of departmental sales and margin targets.
  • Support food safety, quality assurance and traceability standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of commercial information.
