Projects range from large new-builds, renovations and fit-outs, to bespoke environmental designs that result in more efficient buildings. The range of work is wide covering all sectors including commercial, education, residential and health care. This role is ideal for someone who likes to take responsibility for their own projects.
Job Overview and Responsibilities:
- Electrical services design including but not limited to building systems including LV design, lighting and lighting control systems, life safety systems, security systems, audio visual systems and lightning protection.
- Preparation and development of concept, feasibility and detailed design proposals, which include specifications, drawings, calculations.
- Using DIALux lighting and Amtech electrical software.
- Attend meetings with clients, other professional design team members and contractors.
- Strong technical expertise within electrical building services design, gained working within the UK building services industry for either a consultancy or contractor.
- Knowledge of UK design legislation and guidance.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years electrical services design experience in the UK.
- Minimum HNC/HND level in building services or electrical engineering or degree equivalent.
- A desire to work in a friendly SME environment.
- Able to handle several ongoing projects at various stages.
