Location: Middlesborough / Darlington / Hartlepool / Sunderland
Responsibilities:
- 3D modelling in SolidWorks – designing enclosure modifications, bespoke brackets, manifolds and internal component layouts
- Supporting, updating and maintaining existing 3D models and engineering drawings
- Finalising and issuing manufacturing drawings to the required standard
- Defining and applying appropriate tolerances across all designed components
- Attending weekly cross‑functional project meetings with project managers and technical leads
- Daily catch‑ups with the mechanical team lead to review workload and progress
Qualifications:
- Solid, hands‑on SolidWorks experience used in a real working environment
- Familiarity with assemblies and a mix of commercial off‑the‑shelf and bespoke parts
- Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings
- Background in mechanical design or draughting – degree qualified ideally, though strong experience will be considered
- PDM experience desirable but not essential – full training provided
