Location: Peterlee – Office–based
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Rate: 25.40 – 29.50 per hour
Hours: Mon–Thu 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Fri 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
In this role, you will be responsible for mechanically integrating electrical solutions across a diverse range of heavy–duty vehicles.
What You Will Do- Oversee the packaging and integration of electrical systems within complex vehicle platforms, ensuring robust routing and protection.
- Design and develop components, brackets, harness routing paths, enclosures, and installation schemes that balance electrical performance with mechanical durability.
- Partner with mechanical design, electrical systems, manufacturing, suppliers, and purchasing to optimise performance, quality, durability, and cost.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to address assembly feasibility, tolerance stack–up, and installation repeatability.
- Hands–on experience with Creo, Vis View, and Teamcenter.
- Experience within Automotive Industrial, Agricultural Industrial, Mobile Equipment, or any heavy industry featuring complex harness routing.
- Proven experience with vehicle systems integration, including routing, packaging, structural interfaces, and installation design.
- Ability to identify root causes and develop technical solutions across both electrical and mechanical domains.
