Your new role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services (MEP) team based in Nottingham. In this role, you will take a leading position in the design, coordination and delivery of electrical building services systems, working on projects from early concept stages through to construction and completion. You will work within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, collaborating closely with mechanical engineers, BIM technicians and other disciplines to deliver coordinated, efficient and compliant electrical designs. You will also play a key role in supporting junior engineers and contributing to the wider success of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Proven experience delivering electrical design within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, including BS 7671
  • Experience working across multiple project stages, from concept to delivery
  • The ability to manage and deliver work independently while supporting wider project teams
  • Strong communication skills, including confidence in a client–facing role

Desirable

  • Working towards or having achieved Chartered status (CIBSE or IET)
  • Experience working within a BIM–led design environment, particularly Autodesk Revit
  • Knowledge of sustainable and low–carbon design strategies
  • Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy setting
